-
Project Name: Mr. Trung’s Indochine Penthouse
-
Design Style: Indochine (Indochina Style)
-
Area: 500 m2
-
Designed & Executed by: NTDecor
Perched on the top floor of a luxury apartment building, boasting an enviable area of up to 500 square meters, Mr. Trung’s Indochine Penthouse is not merely a living space—it is a masterpiece celebrating deep cultural intersection. Under the masterful hands of the NTDecor design team, this unique penthouse offers a lavish, nostalgic yet highly convenient and modern living experience, tailored exclusively for a homeowner with an exquisite taste in aesthetics.
1. The Living Room: Luxury Rooted in Nostalgic Details
The moment you step into the living room, you are instantly captivated by the grand proportions of the open layout and an arrangement steeped in aristocratic elegance.
-
Colors and Lighting: NTDecor chose an elegant cream tone as the primary backdrop for the walls, gracefully highlighting the intricate crown moldings and the dark brown-black wooden furniture—a signature element of premium wood in the Indochine style. Large glass windows that flood the room with natural light are cleverly softened by luxurious wooden venetian blinds, casting artistic, rhythmic shadows across the floor.
-
Bespoke Furniture: The main sofa set, upholstered in elegant geometric-patterned fabric, features plush velvet throw pillows in vibrant moss green and burnt orange as striking color accents. Behind the sofa, a large-scale lacquer painting depicting ancient Vietnamese cultural life is flanked by a pair of ethereal white peacock statues, creating a regal and majestic visual centerpiece.
-
The TV Feature Wall & Fireplace: Facing the sofa set is a magnificent TV wall clad in royal jade-green natural marble, perfectly integrated with a modern fireplace below. On either side, arched display built-ins with subtle accent lighting showcase timeless blue-and-white porcelain collections.
2. The Foyer & The Cozy Reading and Reflection Corner
The sophistication of the Indochine style in Mr. Trung’s Penthouse lies in its seamless and fluid spatial transitions.
-
The Entryway (Foyer): A sleek, dark-wood built-in shoe cabinet featuring signature louvered doors. A large, stylized round mirror paired with a green velvet bench provides an elegant and functional stop to adjust one’s attire before entering or leaving the home.
-
The Relaxation & Display Corner: A quiet, serene nook is furnished with a pair of regal armchairs upholstered in deep ruby red velvet. The focal point of this area is a meticulously hand-carved wooden relief showcasing a pair of golden carps (An Assembly of Nine Carps), symbolizing eternal prosperity and wealth for the owner. The floor-to-ceiling bookshelves are subtly integrated with LED strips to highlight a priceless collection of books and antiques.
3. The Bar Area & The Elite Wine Lounge
With a generous canvas of 500m2, NTDecor dedicated an exceptionally grand space to design a built-in bar combined with a glass-enclosed wine cellar—the ultimate setting for the host to entertain VIP guests or unwind after a long day.
-
High-End Bar Counter: The kitchen island/bar counter is crafted from solid premium wood, featuring meticulous fluted detailing along its body. Two high-back bar stools upholstered in emerald green velvet pair harmoniously with stylized iron-cage pendant lights, reminiscent of old-fashioned oil lamps reimagined with modern, high-end craftsmanship.
-
The Mesmerizing Mosaic Wall Art: The most valuable jewel of the bar area is a large-scale mosaic accent wall intricately depicting a peacock amidst lush nature. This artistic masterpiece connects flawlessly with the glowing glass wine cabinets on both sides, creating an incredibly opulent Wine Lounge atmosphere.
-
The Iconic Cement Tiles: Flowing seamlessly throughout the main areas is the presence of black-and-white cement tiles with classic symmetrical patterns. A hallmark of Indochina architecture, they bring a cool, clean feel and a profound sense of poetic nostalgia.
Conclusion
Mr. Trung’s Indochine Penthouse stands as a shining testament that when the Indochine style is poured into a vast, luxurious space like a penthouse, it still retains its core warmth and intimacy without ever feeling ostentatious. This project goes far beyond furniture arrangement; it is the journey of NTDecor understanding the homeowner’s soul and materializing the dream of a “heritage home”—where the flow of time seems to slow down to honor enduring luxury values.
